چکیده
The sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) and European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) are wood species largely present in the forest area. composition relative variation of secondary metabolites under thermal effect is a little-explored material was thermally modified at 170 °C for 3 h using thermo-vacuum technology. Raw extracts were obtained with aqueous extraction techniques an autoclave, subsequently lyophilized, solubilized ethyl acetate, determined by Gas Chromatographic-Mass Spectrometric Analyses (GC-MS). In addition, volatile compounds Solid-Phase Micro Extraction (SPME) analyses. As general statement, autoclave produced higher number compared to unmodified material. Beech showed low degradation after modification. Notably, squalene ar-tumerone main bioactive extractives. Chestnut, conversely, greater thermo-modification. However, reduction chemical samples also observed. this case, biologically active detected only control apocynin ar-tumerone. recovery residual material, before energy consumption, could provide sustainable environmentally friendly means obtaining natural chemicals suitable various industrial applications.

GC–MS and GC–NPD Determination of Formaldehyde Dimethylhydrazone in Water Using SPME
Formaldehyde dimethylhydrazone (FADMH) is one of the important transformation products of residual rocket fuel 1,1-dimethylhydrazine (1,1-DMH). Thus, recent studies show that FADMH toxicity is comparable to that of undecomposed 1,1-DMH. In this study, a new method for quantification of FADMH in water based on solid phase microextraction (SPME) in combination with gas chromatography (GC) with ma...
متن کاملApplication of Microwave Heating for Acetylation of Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) and Poplar (Populus hybrids) Wood
Microwave and conventional acetylation of wood was carried out to determine its efficacy on the material properties. Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) and poplar (Populus hybrids) samples with dimensions 14 mm × 14 mm × 14 mm were impregnated using acetic anhydride, and chemical reactions were initiated by microwave and conventional heating. The microwave acetylation process was carried out using labo...
متن کاملStudies on European beech (Fagus sylvatica L
Colour parameters of European beech were measured using CIELab system. 103 logs from 87 trees in 9 sites were cut into boards to study the variations of wood colour parameters. Both site and tree effect on colour were observed. Patterns of red heartwood occurrence were defined. When excepting red heartwood there was still a highly significant effect of site and tree; differences remained after ...
